I have seen it in the news
We have a war now
Oil prices are up, again
A new disease has been discovered
It was always there
We just did not know that we
need to be afraid
We can’t share streaming anymore
But we always had wars
And news never told us
it is good
We don’t need news to
tell us that
We know more now
than ever before
If only what we know
meant something
So what is it then?
Fuck it.
Let’s make babies.
Maybe they will know how to fix this.
White pigeons outside my window
are doing it right now
new generation
born in the nest
behind the dumpster
Unbothered, they will fly and conquer
the sky
From above they will see our
despair, and lack of awareness
But they will like the old lady
in the park, with walking stick
and a bag of bread
still dressed in black
after her husband died five years ago
She smiles to the pigeons
She is sad but unbothered
otherwise
It could be different
But it is too late now
